If Poiray were a letter, it would of course be a P. That of the Parisiennes, the Pierres Précieuses and the Prestige of the Rue de la Paix, where the House set up in 1975 and came to shake up a world, that of Place Vendôme, sometimes frozen in its convictions as in its traditions.

Poiray began with a certainty shared by its founders, François Hérail and Michel Ermelin: whether in the form of rings, bracelets, necklaces or earrings, precious jewelry must be elegant, creative, wearable on all occasions and adaptable to every mood. Poiray embraced the new femininity of the early 1970s. At the time, it was a daring move. It was an immediate success.
