A more assertive design in the study of curves and lines, in a very drawn style, even emphasized by the edges and by an idea of folded unfolded. It makes full use of the potential of this sixties material, compact composite (compression of kraft paper and resin), renowned for its great strength thanks to its very high density. It also offers the possibility of fine cut-outs, hence its nickname of Skeleton, which reinforces and sublimates this mechanical universe.
Clock UTINAM Popup Skeleton Yellow Manufacture
9 800.00€
UTINAM Besançon mechanical clock designed by Philippe LEBRU, with patented movement, prizewinner at the Concours Lépine in Paris in 2005, numbered parts designed and manufactured in our Besançon workshops.
for the Aluminium or Corten limited editions, modernist in two-tone or personal among the 8 colors available, POP UP crosses styles and eras. Equipped with a patented mechanical movement manufactured by Utinam Besançon, POP UP marks the singularity of your time.
For smaller spaces, our UTINAM clocks are available as wall-mounted models. With a template, you can fix it to the wall at three points. The slow movements of the pendulum will, like a clock painting, animate a chosen spot in your interior.
Design
Technical innovations
The mechanism itself is still being perfected.
A quick reminder: our former collection of contemporary comtoises clocks (Hortence and Lala UTINAM) has been awarded several inventions and design prizes (Grand prix du concours Lépine 2005, prix des inventions de Genève...) but above all a patent for a self-balancing movement.
A freewheel barrel
For this new collection , the mechanical movement evolves once again and is equipped with a grooved freewheel barrel that ensures optimized winding during winding.
A metal cable
The usual red fiber rope is replaced by a thin metal cable that's much stronger and saves you from having to renew it.
An innovative
system...
Gone is the barrel blade that suspends the balance wheel and its movements! Gone is the need to adjust the advance and delay at the balance lens!
The new UTINAM pendulum system revolutionizes and refines the adjustment process, using two cylinders sliding on an axis (like old-fashioned weighing scales). They are positioned at the top of the pendulum. The first, in the vertical position, adjusts the advance and delay by means of a screw and the second, in the horizontal position, adjusts the degree of increment of the anchor on the anchor wheel.
A round window on the front of the clock provides a view of this subtle mechanism.

Pop Up
The collection range of PopUp clocks has definitely awakened our vision of mechanical floor clocks, and the turn taken by our "romantic" Hortence and "cubic" Lala clocks has reached 180°...
These new Pop Ups come in a range of colors (from the brightest, through mediums such as plum and concrete grey, to the more classic black and white). They also feature new material veneers, such as natural woods (elm burr, exotic woods...) or "indus" versions, metals like aluminum or stainless steel.
Of course, they can be fully customized to suit your personal taste and décor....
Two versions are available, either as a parquet clock (2m high) or as a wall-mounted version.
