In the course of its history, almost all blue Superman dials have featured raised applied hour markers, often in the form of a "baton". This Superman features the same raised indexes, but in the shape of a "U", just like the original model used by helicopter rescue teams in the early 1970s. This singular shape also accommodates a SuperLuminova BGW9 dot in its center.

ICONIC "SHOVEL" SECOND HAND
The iconic chrome-plated seconds hand with its shovel-shaped head is exactly the same as the one used on some vintage Superman models.

COLLECTOR'S EDITION
The 316L steel caseback is hydraulically stamped with the Air Force &AREA logo. Each watch is engraved with a unique number from 0001 to 1000 for this Limited Edition.

A watch will be officially presented to Captain Steve Slack in honor of his many years of service with the French Air Force Helicopter Rescue Team (SPHAA).

Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal bezel with black insert and matte white veneer to match the glossy look of bakelite, once used on many vintage models including the Superman reference 24.11.17.The Superman's 3 o'clock bezel block has proven very useful for professional divers and has been featured on all Superman models since 1963.

The crown is stamped with the Air Force &AREA insignia.

SUPER-LUMINOVA
Treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility. The luminescent marker on the graduated bezel and the arrow-shaped luminescent hand provide divers with a precise indication of dive time in conditions of poor visibility at the deepest depths.
